Obituary of Harvey Seymour Goodfellow

Harvey Seymour “Hap” Goodfellow of Plainfield, passed away peacefully at Belleville General Hospital on Sunday September 13th, 2020 at the age of 88.

 

Loving husband of Thelma (nee Prest) for 60 years.  Cherished father of Cathie; Donna & John; Roy & Joanne; Paul & Vicki; Leslie & Lisa; Ken & Tracy and Marianne.  Proud grandfather of Kyle (Joey); Amy & Sandra; Tyler (Catherine) & Lucas (Mackenzie); Kendra (Dan), Cole, Caleb & Jesse Jen, Shelley (Mark), Alysha (Brooke).  Great grandfather of Meigha, Lyla, Sophie, Holly, Grace, Nevaeh, Casey, Emma, Raylynn, Trent, Owen and Liam.

 

Devoted member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Roslin where he served and honoured God with a loving and joyful heart.  Loyal member of the The Grande Orange and Black Lodges of Canada; employee of CN Rail for over 30 years before retiring in 1987; steward of the land he farmed in Tyendinaga Township for most of his life.

 

His smile, sparkling eyes, and humour will be missed by those who knew him.

 

A Service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Roslin. Due to current restrictions the church service will be limited to immediate family only.

 

Friends and extended family are invited to join the graveside service at St. Paul’s Church Cemetery, Roslin on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 11:45 a.m.  Attendance in the cemetery will be limited to 100 people. 

 

Donations to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Discretionary Fund accepted in lieu of flowers.
